SPRING BREAK

THE GUN SHOW!!! Me, Tempe, and Liz all had girls night out and went to the shooting range.  This was my 1st time shooting a gun and it was INTENSE.  I was so scared to pull the trigger for the first time but after a few shots, you get used to it.

Week 6

I was so proud of my interactive Su Tissue Programming test.  This week in programming class we learned how to use our mac's iSight cameras to detect ourselves that we then turned into a grid and you could program each specific square to play a certain note or in my case part of the Suburban Lawns interview.  Here is my iphone documentation...

This was also finally the first time in our 3D printing class that we got to print out our boxes! mine was pretty plain, but I wanted to make sure it worked before I got too detail oriented.

Also this week,
Men of Butler Calendar shoot, Dirties Screening, editing film, Getting ready for Portfolio day, Jeanne Stern visiting on Saturday!!!, and getting soooo much other stuff ready for finals and my 2 films.


I also watched Eraserhead for the first time..

Such an incredible puppet.

and I watch Angela.. I've been wanting to get back into the habit of film watching.

Week 5

Week 5 Update..

it's strange looking back at my blog from last year and seeing how different my work has become. This year i've taken on 3 classes from the music tech. department and am finding ways of incorporating new media/technology into my work.

This was last weeks Programming assignment:

Of course it's much better when the person recording can actually use both hands to move the game console but I have to admit that I actually am liking this cat art piece.

Speaking of cat art.. this was my assignment for my Cabinets of Curiosity class.  I have more new work to post, but haven't documented it and honestly isn't really too worth it for me at the moment.

I have to admit my mind is in a dream and all I can think about is the summer where I want to travel and possibly get a stop-motion internship.  Portfolio day is coming up but since I did not take many animation classes this year,  feel that I am behind.  It makes me a little sad but constantly find myself daydreaming about taking a trip to Europe with my boyfriend or the many puppet workshops I find online.  My mind is just in a dream state at the moment.


I also miss fashion.. fashion!!! where did you go?! These are things i've been eyeing almost every day online:

This is my life. To sum up this semester, it's me running to music tech tutoring, autocadding nights with quique, now film club with sean, practically living with my boyfriend alvie, and trying to edit my final film any free minute I get.   Everything is going great.. just the usual stress.

I actually am starting to miss tumblr a lot.. Might switch blogs over.. :(

sad blog moment.. But in other news last weekend my boyfriend took me out on a Valentines dinner to Mozza, then spent Chinese new year in chinatown, and also headed over to Automata to see Janie Geiser's incredible puppet performance for, Clouded Sulphur.  These were the tiny houses I built for the show that were actually the only set pieces! I feel so lucky to have Janie as a mentor.
