And of course I took 0 photos at the CalArts gathering, I could only stay at the gathering for an hour, but everyone was super nice, friendly and seemed interested in getting to know everyone. They also gave us these free goodies: Calarts Tote bag, License plate frames, and a brochure.
Dallas was fun we stayed at the Belmont Hotel and visited a bunch of amazing thrift shops and the Geometric Museum of Dallas is definitely something to see.
Then me and my friend went to go watch Harry Potter at The Inwood Theatre where all the seats are couches and bean bags
and to also mention I had a chance to hang out with Crispin Glover before his show. It was a great experience getting to hang out with someone so polite, artistic, creative, interesting, not to mention soo dreammy to look at..
But anyway I have now started Rosetta Stone French, I am going to keep reading my Experimental Animation textbook, and try to keep up with my "movie a day" theme so I can keep watching as many films as possible before I go to CalArts!!
Let's see how this works out.

I was wondering what happened to your blog. Very cool! I would've loved to gone thrift shopping haha That and the antique section of flea markets are my favorite-- you never know what you'll find. And you hung out with George Mcfly? Awesome! Good luck with the Rosetta Stone -- I've been wanting to try that out myself, but it seems so expensive for the package deal.
ReplyDeleteHey Matthew! Oh yeah I deleted the old one because I thought it looked messy. I was sad because I lost all my followers :(
ReplyDeletebut yeah thrift shopping was fun! There was even that Vintage Mobile that I put a picture of which was a green School bus full of clothes! HaHa and yes, he was very nice and super interested in Experimental Animation! He asked me who my favorite animators were and said CalArts was a very good school. All I can say so far about Rosetta Stone is I THInk it's working, and it is veryyy long.
Anyways how are you? I always check your blog
That movie theatre looks so fun!! If that were an IMAX theatre it would be even more popular! I wish we had something like that here in Austin. Did you hear about the Harry Potter event at the Highball? It was like 50$ and had everything themed HP. I hate that yuppie place but to go to something like that...: D
